Man Busted After Violent Scuffle Outside Eastleigh Co-Op
Police swooped yesterday afternoon after a fight broke out outside the Co-Operative store on Falkland Court, Eastleigh. At around 4.10pm on 27 June, a 33-year-old man from Chandler’s Ford was followed into the shop and attacked, suffering minor injuries.
25-Year-Old Southampton Man Arrested
Officers quickly tracked down a 25-year-old Southampton man and arrested him on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm. The suspect was in custody at the time of reporting.
Further Arrest After Another Assault Claim
While investigating, police were approached by an unknown man who accused the same suspect of assaulting him earlier that day at an address on 1 Close. This led to a second arrest on similar assault charges.
The accused remains behind bars as the investigation continues.
