Speedboat and Cash Seized in Major West Kent Drug Bust
Four men have been arrested in a high-stakes drug raid in west Kent, with suspected criminal assets including a speedboat, quad bikes, vehicles, and a motorhome seized by police.
Multi-Location Raids Unearth Cocaine, Cannabis, and More
The crackdown happened during early morning raids on April 25 at multiple properties across Middlesex Road, Chartway Street in Sutton Valence, and business units off Gravelly Bottom Road, Kingswood.
The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate led the operation, uncovering a stash of cocaine, cannabis, and other drugs.
Four Charged With Drug Supply and Weapons Offences
- Ashley Steel, 60, from Middlesex Road, faces two drug supply charges (cocaine and cannabis), four counts related to heroin, cocaine, ketamine, and cannabis supply, possession of a knuckle duster, and money laundering.
- James Steel, 39, of Chartway Street, Sutton Valence, charged with five drug supply offences involving heroin, cocaine, ketamine, and cannabis, plus possession of cannabis and a flick knife.
- Daniel Devall, 35, of Common Road, Hadlow, charged with money laundering and four drug supply offences involving heroin, cocaine, ketamine, and cannabis.
- A fourth man, 58, remains on bail and is due to return to police on July 25.
Judgment Day Set for May 24
The three main suspects are currently remanded in custody and will appear at maidstone/" title="Maidstone" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, May 24.
