Speeding Stop Sparks Major Drug Bust
Royston Joseph Parris, 41, was caught red-handed after being pulled over for speeding in Llandaff North, Cardiff on May 16, 2024. Undercover cops noticed his suspicious behaviour and spotted a sandwich-sized sealed bag hidden under his foot.
Violent Struggle and Bizarre Drug Stash Revealed
Parris didn’t go quietly. He fought officers and refused roadside drug and alcohol tests. A search of his vehicle uncovered a black plastic wrap containing white powder, suspected Class A drugs. They also found £600 shoved into the car’s drink holder and a locked mobile phone.
But the strangest find was yet to come — a can of Monster energy drink. When poured out, it revealed a solid substance believed to be Class A drugs cleverly concealed inside.
Phone Evidence Exposes Big-Time Drug Dealer
After his arrest, forensic specialists cracked open Parris’s phone. They uncovered images and messages proving his role in wholesale heroin supply. Shocking videos showed kilo blocks of cocaine stamped ‘USA’, alongside texts mentioning ‘BIG BULKS’ and ‘BOTS’.
Bank statements exposed massive cash deposits totalling hundreds of thousands of pounds between 2020 and 2025 — all while Parris claimed Universal Credit.
Rearrest and Jail Sentence
Parris was rearrested near Michaelston-Super-Ely. A home search found 20g of cocaine, scales, and cash. He pleaded guilty to heroin and cocaine supply charges.
On January 12, 2025, Cardiff Crown Court slammed him with an 84-month prison sentence. Crime doesn’t pay — but Parris’s stash sure tried to.
