On 27 March at 4.32pm, police got reports of a man riding a motorcycle under the influence. Officers stopped Crutch riding on Laughton Hill, Stonesfield. The breath test revealed he was nearly three times over the legal alcohol limit, with 111 micrograms per 100ml of breath.
Multiple Offences, One Tough Sentence
- Driving while disqualified
- Driving without third party insurance
- Driving with an alcohol level above the legal limit
After admitting guilt on all counts, Crutch was sentenced to 17 weeks behind bars. He’s also banned from driving for five years.
Police Warn: Drink Driving Not Tolerated
“Thames Valley Police will not tolerate drink driving, which is one of the Fatal Four on our roads,” said PC Brian Perry, investigating officer.
“Crutch pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity and has been given a custodial sentence to reflect the seriousness of his crimes.”
“If you see anyone driving over the limit, report it to Thames Valley Police to keep our roads safe.”
