Instagram ‘Influencer’ Busted Over Fake Guns in Chatham
Suspected imitation firearms were seized after a man claiming to be an Instagram influencer sparked panic at a block of flats in Chatham.
Armed Police Swarm Dock Head Road
Kent Police were called at 8:35am on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, following reports of a man brandishing weapons on a balcony at Dock Head Road.
Public alarmed by the sight of potential firearms prompted a rapid response. Armed officers and a police helicopter were dispatched to the scene.
Man in His 30s Arrested Over Firearms Offences
A local man in his 30s was taken into custody on suspicion of firearms offences. Police seized four suspected imitation firearms as part of their investigation.
Officers remain at the scene as enquiries continue.
