Sussex Man Charged with Three Terrorism Offences

A 35-year-old man from Eastbourne has been hit with three terrorism charges, police confirmed today. Mohammed Abdulkalik Fadil Alazawi, of Bedford Grove, faces accusations of encouraging terrorists to plan or carry out attacks.

The charges follow a major investigation led by Counter Terrorism Policing South East. Alazawi was formally charged on Saturday, 7 March, under Section 1 of the Terrorism Act 2006.

Alazawi Remanded in Custody Ahead of Court Battle

Alazawi remains behind bars and is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 9 March. He faces serious allegations that could see him locked up for years.
