Brighton Teen Arrested After Shocking Stabbing
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing in Brighton.
Knife Attack Sparks Panic in Church Place
The terrifying incident took place on Saturday, May 25, around 6:33 PM at Church Place, near the bottom of Manor Road, Sussex Police confirmed.
Officers rushed to the scene after reports of a disturbance and found a 37-year-old woman suffering from a stab wound. She was rushed to hospital and treated. Thankfully, her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Two Arrested in Connection With Stabbing
Police quickly arrested the teenage suspect on suspicion of attempted murder. A 38-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both remain in custody as the investigation unfolds.
“I can understand the community’s concern following this incident. Officers moved quickly to arrest two suspects, and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this. This is an isolated incident and poses no threat to the wider public,” said Detective Inspector Jenny Pietersen.
