17-Year-Old Attacked on Bustling Prom

Sussex Police are on the hunt after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed on Eastbourne Promenade. The shocking attack happened between 4:05 pm and 4:20 pm on November 10, right in the busy stretch between the pier and the bandstand.

The victim was hanging out with two mates when a gang of seven boys and young men launched the assault. The youngster suffered a hand injury that looked like a stabbing wound. He was rushed to Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead but has since been discharged.

Six Arrested, But Still on the Loose

Police have arrested six suspects aged 14 to 20 in connection with the attack. One faces charges of wounding with intent. All have been released on strict bail conditions while the investigation continues.

The incident unfolded in daylight on a busy, public section of the promenade. Cops are desperate for anyone who saw what went down to step forward.

Extra Patrols on Eastbourne Promenade

Following the assault, Sussex Police have stepped up patrols along the promenade to reassure the public and gather crucial information. The area is a well-known hotspot for residents and visitors alike, making the attack all the more disturbing.

“This occurred in a well-trafficked area during daylight, and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen what happened or has relevant information to come forward,” a spokesperson said.
