East London Drug Dealers Jailed for Exploiting Vulnerable Youths
Ilford Men Busted in County Lines Crackdown
Nathan Padman, 21, and Irfan Tarik, 43, both from Ilford, East London, have been locked up for running a ruthless crack and heroin dealing ring known as the ‘Ashton’ network. The pair exploited trafficked juveniles and addicted drug users to peddle Class A substances across Wiltshire.
Undercover Sting Unravels Drug Ring
The operation, led by Wiltshire Police’s Fortitude team, spanned January to September 2020. They caught the gang supplying heroin and crack to an undercover officer five times in January alone. Early arrests included Swindon’s Shohidur Rahman, 45, who played a key supporting role.
Over months, the police linked Padman, Tarik, and Rahman firmly to the county lines ring. All three pleaded guilty to drug supply charges earlier this year.
Harsh Sentences Deliver Justice
Judges at Swindon Crown Court handed down tough jail terms on December 15. Padman got 44 months behind bars, while Tarik and Rahman received 32 and 25 months respectively.
“Padman and Tarik were causing untold harm by exploiting vulnerable juveniles and existing drug users for their own gain, perpetuating the misery that drugs cause in societies,” said Detective Sergeant Gareth Snoad.
“I’m delighted we secured convictions and that these three men will be spending the next few years behind bars. County lines dealers beware – no matter where you operate, Wiltshire Police will track you down.”
