Three Men Nabbed in Sussex Drugs Bust After High-Speed Chase
BMW Tracked by ANPR on Sussex Roads
Police arrested three men on suspicion of drug supply after tracking a suspicious BMW along major roads in Sussex. Just before 8.30pm on Tuesday (21 May), an ANPR camera spotted the car heading south, linked to ‘County Lines’ drug activity between London and East Sussex.
Car Stopped at A27 Beddingham Roundabout
Road policing officers followed the vehicle to the A27 Beddingham roundabout in East Sussex and safely pulled it over. Inside were a 28-year-old man from West London, and two men from Eastbourne aged 26 and 23. All three were arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply.
Drugs, Cash, and Phone Seized
Police confiscated a mobile phone, about 50 grams of suspected Class A drugs, and several hundred pounds in cash from the car. The 28-year-old was also charged with driving without a valid licence.
Detective Inspector Andy Eggleton said: “This is another example of our constant 24/7 efforts to combat the scourge of drug dealing in our communities.”
