Three Men Jailed Over Brutal Town Centre Brawl in Leeds
Violent Attack in Early Hours
Kirklees CID have hailed the sentencing of three men at Leeds Crown Court on April 1 for a savage attack in the town centre. The incident unfolded in the early hours of March 1, 2020, on Cross Church Street, where two men were brutally assaulted by a group. One victim was repeatedly attacked while lying on the ground, suffering serious injuries.
Harsh Sentences for Offenders
- Mohammed Asad, 23, of Bentley Street, was jailed for eight years and three months. Charges included unlawful wounding of both victims, affray, possession of a bladed weapon, and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
- Conor Lyons, 27, of Brook Street, received two years and eight months for affray and unlawful wounding of one victim.
- Kamil Wlasiuk, 21, of Browning Road, got 18 months for affray and unlawful wounding.
All three pleaded guilty to their offences.

“We welcome the sentencing of these three men for what was a disgraceful display of violence in our town centre,” said Detective Inspector Oliver Coates.
“One victim was attacked brutally even as he lay on the floor. It’s lucky he wasn’t hurt even worse given the ferocity of the assault.”
“The defendants were quickly identified and arrested. I hope their convictions offer some comfort to the victims.”
