Woman Shot in Hackney Nighttime Attack

Police were called to Westgate Street, Hackney, at 8.52pm on 22 November 2020 after reports of a shooting. A 32-year-old woman was rushed to hospital and remains under treatment.

Three Men Charged Over Hackney Shooting

  • Akile Lee-Walton, 23, of Pemberton Road, N4, faces charges including attempted murder, grievous bodily harm with intent, conspiracy, and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. He is set to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on 14 April.
  • Reuel Briscoe, 28, currently at HMP Belmarsh, is charged with conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. His court appearance is scheduled for 15 April.
  • Jeremiah Briscoe, 24, held at HMP Thameside, faces the same charges and is due in court on 15 April.

More Arrests Following Raids in Hackney and Tottenham

On 13 April, police executed warrants at two Hackney addresses and one in Tottenham. Three men aged 20 to 27 were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy and firearm offenses. They have been bailed to return to a North London police station in May.

Additionally, three others have been arrested previously but were released under investigation as inquiries continue.
