Drugs Bust in Southend: Three Arrested in Cocaine and Heroin Crackdown

Police swooped on two homes in Southend last week, uncovering wraps of cocaine, heroin, and cannabis. Two arrests followed at Chichester Road, with 19-year-old Luke Lackenby and 32-year-old Emma Kemp both charged with possession with intent to supply.

Lackenby Hits Double Trouble

Alongside the serious supply charges, Lackenby also faces possession of cannabis. Both defendants made a brief appearance at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on 13 January. They are now set to face Basildon Crown Court on 10 February.

Westcliff Flat Search Nets Another Dealer

Just hours later, cops raided a flat on Station Road, Westcliff, after reports of drug activity. Mohammed Abdallah, 21, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine and heroin, plus handling criminal property.

Abdallah appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court the same day and was remanded in custody pending his Basildon Crown Court hearing on 10 February.

Police urged locals not to stay quiet. “If you have any concerns about drug dealing in your neighbourhood, it’s important to tell us so we can take action,” they said.
