Knife Attack After Brutal Burglary in Marden Flat

Four men have been locked up after a violent break-in at a Marden flat left one victim seriously stabbed. The terrifying incident unfolded late on Friday, January 5, when burglars forced their way into a property at The Cockpit, demanding cash.

Victims Suffer Serious Injuries

Kent Police were called at 11.20pm to reports of a break-in. The attackers reportedly stole cash and bank cards before fleeing. A man was rushed to hospital with serious knife wounds to his arm and hand. A woman at the scene was also assaulted but suffered less severe injuries.

Four Arrested Following Police Hunt

After a swift police search near Marden train station, three men were detained that same night. The fourth suspect was nabbed the next day. The men, all aged between 19 and 27, face a series of serious charges:

  • Shah Ali, 27, The Cockpit, Marden: charged with aggravated burglary and grievous bodily harm with intent.
  • Emran Ahmed, 20, Streatham, London: charged with aggravated burglary and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
  • Mohamed Ahmed, 19, Hayes, Greater London: charged with aggravated burglary.
  • Maryam Mohammad, 21, Hayes, Greater London: charged with aggravated burglary.

Remanded Ahead of Court Appearance

All four defendants have been remanded in custody and are due to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday, January 8. The investigation is being led by detectives from West Kent CID.
