Three Teens to Face Trial Over Brutal Killing of 75-Year-Old on London Street
Three teenage girls are set to stand trial accused of killing a 75-year-old man in a savage street attack in north London.
Attack Near Bus Stop in Islington
Fredi Rivero was beaten near a bus stop on Seven Sisters Road, Islington, just before midnight on Tuesday, 27 February. The 75-year-old was surrounded by the girls—aged 14, 16, and 17—after they got off a bus. Witnesses say the trio pushed, kicked, punched, and shoved him. Shocking footage allegedly filmed by one of the girls captured the assault.
Mr Rivero, believed to be a Bolivian national and described by police as a “much-loved father,” was rushed to hospital but died the next day. His family have been left “devastated by his death.”

- Bail applications will be considered later, after CCTV evidence review.
