Jealousy Killer Found Guilty of Murder at Old Bailey
Oliver Muldowney, 35, from Richmond, was convicted of murder after a trial at the Old Bailey on July 1. He had already admitted to dealing heroin and crack cocaine. His co-defendant, Jonathan David Nash, 36, of Feltham, was found guilty on two counts connected to drug distribution. Both face sentencing soon.
Tim Hipperson’s Tragic Death
Tim Hipperson was fatally stabbed by Muldowney in a jealous rage. Detective Inspector Maria Green, who led the case, said, “Tim has had his share of difficulties in life, but he has always been a much loved son, brother, and friend.”
After the vicious attack on May 17, 2021, Tim staggered onto King’s Road, where he managed to identify his attacker to police – clearly saying, “Olly”. This moment was caught on a police officer’s bodycam.
Jealousy Sparked Deadly Attack over Love Rivalry
Muldowney was driven by jealousy. Believing Tim was involved with his partner, he stabbed him repeatedly in an alleyway, delivering a fatal blow to Tim’s left side. Despite desperate attempts to cover his tracks, Muldowney was caught within days.
He even tried to bribe a key witness—Tim’s friend—with drugs and money to stay silent. But the friend stood firm and aided the investigation.
Details of the Night Tim Was Murdered
- Tim and a friend went to buy drugs from Muldowney in Peldon Passage.
- Jonathan Nash completed the transaction and returned to Muldowney.
- Muldowney confronted Tim, accusing him of seeing his long-term partner.
- The fatal stabbing followed, with Tim taken to hospital but dying three days later.
- Muldowney and Nash fled; Muldowney hid his phone wrapped in tinfoil in a shoebox full of toys.
- Police raided multiple addresses linked to Muldowney before arresting both men on May 21, 2021.
Justice is on the horizon for Tim Hipperson, whose life was brutally cut short by a twisted jealousy feud.
