Murder Charge and Old Bailey Court Appearance

Kemuel Gambicky-Forbes, 24, of Mitcham, has been charged with murder and possession of a bladed article. Wearing a grey prison tracksuit, he appeared at the Old Bailey on May 6 and was remanded in custody.

Prosecutor Paul Case told the court the stabbing happened while Mr Anderson was still on a 999 emergency call.

“The incident happened on his front doorstep while he was on a 999 call,” Case said.

The murder weapon is still missing but police say it was “a weapon of some significance.”

“It’s a very quiet area. I’ve lived here for over 15 years and never seen anything like this. It’s really unfortunate and has caused a lot of panic,”

he said.

He added that his own son was left traumatised after watching paramedics desperately try to save Mr Anderson.
