Trio Jailed for Stealing Hundreds of Items Across London – Including the Ashes of Two Children
Three men have been locked up after a shocking burglary spree across London, where they stole hundreds of items – including a box holding the ashes of two children.
Ashes Stolen in Heartbreaking Richmond Theft
Marcin Lipiec, 37, Daniel Majewski, 26, and Piotr Pawlark, 32, all from Whitton, admitted conspiracy to commit burglary at Kingston Crown Court. Their sentencing is set for Friday, 11 May.
On 11 December 2017, a burglary in Richmond’s Castlegate saw jewellery and a maroon box containing the ashes of twins who died at birth stolen. The theft devastated the family.
Police Snare Burglars After Suspicious VW Passat Sighting
The very next day, alert locals spotted a gold VW Passat driving suspiciously in SW14 and tipped off police. The car was registered to Pawlark and Lipiec was insured to drive it.
Police raced to a property on Buxton Road after reports of a break-in. The burglars had forced open the back doors and ransacked the home, stealing a safe, bank cards, passports, and a laptop.
Officers heard banging inside the house and caught sight of two men trying to flee. Inside, they found a damaged safe, later confirmed to belong to the burglary victims.
400+ Stolen Items Recovered – More Burglaries Linked
Investigations uncovered more than 400 stolen items at the suspects’ address in Whitton, along with burglary tools like crowbars and hammers.
Detectives linked the trio to eight burglaries across London, including locations in Richmond, Isleworth, Twickenham, and Hounslow.
