Medway Mayhem: Two Men Charged After Violent Attacks and Car Damage
Two men have been charged following two violent incidents in Medway that left victims battered and one car damaged. The chaos unfolded on the same night, March 4, 2021, in Gillingham and Chatham.
Woman Attacked After Parking Near Shop
A woman was assaulted by two strangers after parking near a shop on Richmond Road, Gillingham, at around 9.40pm. The attackers also allegedly vandalised her car. She suffered injuries to her face and head and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Three Men Assaulted in Chatham
Later that night at 10.55pm in Institute Road, Chatham, three men were attacked by two men. One victim was so badly hurt he needed emergency care in a London hospital for injuries to his face, shoulder, and back. Another was treated locally, while the third escaped without hospital treatment.
Suspects Arrested and Charged
- Tyler Williams, 31, from Maidstone
- Shamen Williams, 28, from Rochester
Both men were arrested on March 11 and charged with four counts of wounding with intent, criminal damage, and two counts of possessing offensive weapons in public. Tyler Williams also faces a dangerous driving charge linked to a separate incident.
The pair appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on March 13 and were remanded in custody. They are set to face Maidstone Crown Court on April 9.
