Two Charged After Midnight Burglary Attempt in Dartford

Two men have been arrested and charged following a botched burglary in Dartford. Oliver Cooke, 21, from Church Hill Wood, Orpington, and Danny Webb, 20, from Dryland Avenue, were caught in the early hours of Wednesday 6 November 2019.

Star-Crossed Crooks Nabbed with Stolen Ride

The pair tried to break into a house on Warren Road at around 1:20am but were stopped before they could get inside. Police also charged them for letting themselves be driven in a stolen car, which was reportedly driven dangerously during the chase.

Cooke faces an extra charge for possession of an item intended for use in theft—a screwdriver.

Back in Court Next Month

Both men were remanded in custody after their appearance at Medway Magistrates on 7 November. They are set to face Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday 5 December.
