Brutal Bristol stabbing spree lands Curtis Ford 26 years and Samuel Ford 12 years behind bars
Deadly stabbing and hate crime shocks Bristol
Mikhail Hanid, 47, was fatally stabbed multiple times on Ridgeway Avenue on 27 June. Three days later, he died in hospital. Curtis Ford, 28, admitted murder and was sentenced to a hefty 26 years in prison. His brother Samuel Ford, 30, was found guilty of manslaughter and received 12 years—nine years inside and three years on licence.
Racial abuse and false theft claims before attack
The court heard Samuel Ford sent racially abusive threats to a friend, targeting Mr Hanid. He falsely accused him of stealing his bike and then tried to erase the damning messages after the stabbing.
Police praise family’s strength and vow to fight knife crime
“Mikhail was an innocent man who was subjected to a brutal attack,” said Detective Chief Inspector James Riccio. “This incident is a hate crime. Our community has felt the impact deeply. We are committed to tackling violent crime and educating on the consequences of knife crime.”
Riccio also paid tribute to the courage and dignity of the Hanid family during the long investigation and trial.
