Massive Drug Bust at Iwade Industrial Site! Kent Police have smashed a major operation, seizing Class A drugs and 120 cannabis plants from an industrial estate off Raspberry Hill.

Heroin, Cocaine & Cannabis Galore

During a dawn raid on 9 September, officers uncovered 200 wraps of heroin or cocaine alongside four shipping containers rigged up to grow cannabis. Three men aged between 18 and 59 were arrested in connection with the cultivation.

More Than Just Drugs: Stolen Gear Confiscated

The raid also led to the seizure of two dogs, two agricultural mowers, and a caravan, all suspected stolen. Swale Borough Council joined forces with Kent Police after reports surfaced of planning breaches at the site.

Multi-Agency Teamwork Takes Down Crime

“This was a great multi-agency operation which we’re proud our officers helped to plan and carry out,” said Cllr Roger Truelove, leader of Swale Council. “We’ve gathered valuable intelligence for ongoing investigations and proved the power of collaboration.”

The Environment Agency is now probing reports of illegal waste—like building rubble—being dumped at the site.

“We won’t hesitate to take action against waste crime,” warned Sally Harvey, Area Director for the Environment Agency. “Those responsible could face heavy fines or prison. Always ask for your waste collector’s registration number and waste transfer note to avoid your rubbish ending up illegally dumped.”

Kent Police Vow to Keep Up the Pressure

Chief Inspector Alan Rogers said: “This success highlights the power of partnership. Together, we secured a search warrant and used combined resources to target organised crime and protect our communities.”
