Kent cops swooped after spotting two men nicking metal from a unit at Wincheap Industrial Estate just after 8.40pm on Wednesday, 19 April.

One Fleeing Suspect, One Arrested on Scene

The duo was caught loading metal into a van when one bloke made a dash for it. Officers arrived quickly, snapping up a 38-year-old man from Herne Bay at the scene.

Police Dog Sniffs Out Key Clue

Police Dog Coty tracked a scent to a nearby back track, finding a high-vis top dumped nearby, believed to belong to one of the thieves. The item has been seized for evidence.

Meanwhile, patrols found the second suspect—a 35-year-old local from Sandwich—hiding out in a nearby pub.
