Heroin and Crack Crackdown in Ashford!
Kent Police swooped on Friday morning, March 19, 2021, hitting a property in Sotherton, Ashford, during a Misuse of Drugs Act raid.
Drugs Hidden in Floor and Loft
Officers from the Divisional Support Unit uncovered sizeable quantities of heroin and crack cocaine stashed cleverly within the floorboards and loft space.
Two Men Nabbed and Charged
Gary Booth, 46, of Wellesley Road, and 52-year-old Peter Baars, from Sotherton, were both charged with two counts of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply. In a twist, they were also found with a stun gun disguised as a torch.
Remanded and Court Date Set
The pair faced Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on March 20, where they were remanded in custody. Their next appearance is scheduled for Canterbury Crown Court on April 19, 2021.
