Two Nabbed After Brutal Assault in Canterbury City Centre

Police have arrested two men over a shocking assault outside the Seven Stars Inn in Canterbury city centre.

Violence Erupts Outside Pub

At around 7.40pm on Saturday 14 May 2022, chaos broke out involving a group of men on Orange Street. During the scuffle, a man in his 30s was seriously attacked by two suspects. He suffered a serious head injury and was rushed to a London hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Suspects in Custody

On Monday 16 May, officers arrested a 30-year-old and a 27-year-old local men in connection with the assault. Both are currently in custody while investigations continue.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Kent Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the attack or has video footage to get in touch. They want to piece together exactly what happened outside the Seven Stars that night.
