Violent fight erupts in Croydon
Police were called to Renown Close on Monday afternoon following reports of a violent fight involving a group of men. The situation turned grim when officers learned at least one person was armed with a knife.
Injured man rushed to hospital
Responding quickly, police and paramedics found a man in his 30s on London Road with serious wounds – a knife injury to his hand and a deep cut to his head. He was treated on the scene before being rushed to hospital. Thankfully, his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
No arrests yet as investigation continues
So far, no one has been arrested. Police are actively investigating, following up on leads and collecting evidence to identify those involved in the fracas.
Section 35 order in place to calm tensions
To prevent further trouble, a Section 35 Dispersal Order has been issued in the area, aiming to keep the community safe and calm.
