Driver Arrested After Baton and Cocaine Found
Officers from the Tunbridge Wells Community Policing Team spotted what looked like an extendable baton inside a parked car. A thorough search of the vehicle and its driver uncovered the baton plus suspected cocaine.
Drug Den Raid Nets More Drugs and Nearly £2,000 Cash
The raid didn’t stop there. Police also searched a nearby premises linked to the suspect, seizing more drugs, a lock knife, and almost £2,000 in cash.
Sadri Gega Charged and Remanded in Custody
Sadri Gega, 53, homeless, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine, carrying an offensive weapon in public, possession of criminal property, and intent to use a fake ID.
“Sadri Gega appeared in Medway Magistrates’ Court on 8 January and was remanded in custody,” police said. His next hearing is at Maidstone Crown Court on 5 February.
