With the M25 closed, drivers faced heavy diversions on local routes. The disruption didn’t just stop there — the M11, A12, and A127 roads were also snarled up as a result of the closure.
Suspicious Driver Sparks Full-Scale Search
The drama began when a vehicle stopped on the motorway hard shoulder. The driver was spotted acting oddly, rummaging near the verge. Authorities quickly moved in, sealing off a large area on both sides of the carriageway to conduct thorough searches.
Nothing Found – But Roadblocks Remain
Despite extensive checks, officers found no threat. A Highways England spokesperson confirmed that the closures “are about to be lifted shortly,” promising relief for frustrated motorists.
