19-year-old charged with murder after deadly Peckham stabbing
Fatal attack rocks Peckham
A 19-year-old man has been slapped with a murder charge following the fatal stabbing of 26-year-old Rohan Trotman in Peckham, south-east London. Yusuf Kallon, from Marmont Road, SE15, not only faces murder but also charges of robbery, possession of a bladed article, and cannabis possession.
Court date set amid police probe
Kallon was arrested on Thursday, July 6, after police launched an intensive investigation into the shocking attack. He is set to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, July 8.
Stabbing outside Nunhead Green
The chilling incident unfolded near Nunhead Green, close to Gordon Road junction, at 9:20 pm on Sunday, June 25. A passerby found Rohan with stab wounds and rushed him to hospital. Sadly, despite medical efforts, he died the following morning at 9:30 am.
Police urge witnesses to step forward
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed the charges against Kallon and appealed for anyone with information about the stabbing to come forward. Specialist officers are supporting Rohan’s family through this tragic time.
