Crimes Took Place in 2023
The offences happened earlier this year. Alongside his jail term, Moore has been slapped with a seven-year restraining order banning any contact with the victim.
Detective Praises Victim’s Bravery
Detective Sergeant Rebecca Igglesden slammed Moore as a “sex offender who preyed on his young and vulnerable victim.” She added, “We welcome that he has been dealt with by the courts.”
The victim, who showed remarkable strength throughout the trial, now hopes for some peace after years of trauma. Specially trained detectives and victim support teams helped her and her family throughout the ordeal.
Police Urge Victims to Speak Out
DS Igglesden urged anyone affected by sexual offences or concerned about someone’s safety to come forward. The police have a dedicated team to handle reports sensitively and bring offenders to justice.
