Horror Stabbing on First Avenue, Dagenham Shocks Local Residents

A woman and her young daughter were terrorised in a brutal stabbing on First Avenue, Dagenham, last Friday evening. Witnesses described the chaotic scene as “like a horror film.”

Mother and Daughter Left Bloody and Running for Safety

An anonymous eyewitness, new to the area, saw the mother with a severe neck wound and her daughter—around eight years old—suffering a deep cut to her face. “It seems like he tried to cut her throat,” the witness said, “but she moved away, and he got her face instead. She was holding her face together.”

The woman’s neck injury was described as the “biggest slice” the witness had ever seen. The victims fled the scene in panic, desperate for help.

Suspect Found Unconscious and Taken to Hospital

Police arrested a man believed to be the attacker inside the property. The suspect appeared unwell and had stopped breathing, possibly from an overdose, according to the witness who noted there was “no blood coming from him at all.”

Authorities confirmed the man was hospitalised after becoming unwell at the scene.

Police and Ambulance Services Respond to Serious Incident

The Metropolitan Police continue investigating with the area cordoned off for evidence collection. Locals are urged to stay alert and report any information.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said:

“We were called at 5:35pm on Friday, 25 October, to reports of an incident on First Avenue, Dagenham. Four ambulance crews, fast response cars, advanced paramedics, and London’s Air Ambulance were dispatched. Four people were treated at the scene; one was taken to hospital and three rushed to a major trauma centre.”

Updates on the condition of the victims and suspect will follow as investigations proceed.
