Teen Girl Charged After Brutal Stabbing in Sittingbourne
A 19-year-old woman faces serious charges after a vicious stabbing left a teenage boy fighting for his life in Sittingbourne.
Midnight Mayhem on Rectory Road
Just past midnight on Thursday, 27 February, emergency crews rushed to Rectory Road. They found the victim, a male in his late teens, with a stab wound. He was quickly treated on-site before being airlifted to a London hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Arrest Made: Leah Scantlebury in Custody
Kent Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service acted swiftly. Leah Scantlebury, 19, from Commonwealth Close, Sittingbourne, was arrested later that morning. She has been charged with wounding with intent and remanded in custody. Scantlebury is set to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court today (Friday, 28 February).
Police Hunt for Witnesses and CCTV
Kent Police continue their investigation, urging anyone who witnessed the attack or has dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward.
