Masked Thugs Hijack Car in Broad Daylight in Oxford
Thames Valley Police are hunting brazen crooks who hijacked a vehicle and kidnapped five people in broad daylight. The victims – two men and three women – were travelling from Oxford to 1 pm on November 4 when masked men stormed their car.
The robbers made off with a luxury watch worth a staggering $590,000 and snatched phones. One victim was even forced to transfer a jaw-dropping $1.5 million in cryptocurrency during the ordeal.
Victims Dumped as Police Launch Manhunt for Three Cars
The gang dumped the terrified victims about 30 minutes later near Five Mile Drive, Oxford, before vanishing. Thames Valley Police have released details of three vehicles they believe were used in the crime:
- Black BMW saloon
- Blue Hyundai Ioniq
- Silver Mercedes Benz Vito
Detective Sergeant Stuart McMaster urged anyone who spotted suspicious activity around Yarnton Road, Sandy Lane, Five Mile Drive, Carey Close, Rotherfield Road, or Kirk Close between 1pm and 4pm on November 4 to come forward immediately.
Four Men Nabbed Across UK But Investigation Gathers Pace
Police have already arrested four men connected to the crime across London, Kent, and Birmingham:
- 21-year-old Londoner – conspiracy to commit robbery, kidnap & driving offences, on bail until January 2026
- 37-year-old London man – robbery and kidnap, on bail until January 2026
- 23-year-old Kent man – robbery and kidnap, on bail until February 2026
- 19-year-old Birmingham man – robbery, kidnap & fraud offences, on bail until January 2026
Police raids and forensic digital work are intensifying as detectives hunt for more suspects in this high-stakes crime.
