Teen Stabbed to Death Outside East London School in Brutal Knife Attack

A 16-year-old boy was tragically stabbed to death in broad daylight outside Kelmscott School in Walthamstow, East London. The Year 11 student was chased and attacked by three older boys in what police are calling a “senseless knife attack.”

Fleeing Student Cut Down Near Tyre Shop

The victim tried to escape his assailants, who were reportedly waiting for him as he left school on Friday afternoon. He ran into a nearby tyre shop for safety but was stabbed three times in the stomach and collapsed in the street seconds away, right before the eyes of shocked students.

Emergency teams rushed to the scene but were unable to save him. The boy was pronounced dead at 4.39pm.

Community in Shock As Police Search for Attackers

Witnesses say one of the attackers was seen stepping out of a white Hyundai shortly before the stabbing.

“He was a Year 11 kid. There were three others his age waiting for him,” said a local business owner. “They chased him down. When he reached the tyre shop, they stabbed him three times and he bled out.”

Kelmscott School’s headteacher, Sam Jones, described the attack as the “darkest of days” for the school community.

“A Kelmscott student was sadly killed in a senseless knife attack. This loss will be felt for a long time. Hold your loved ones close tonight,” he urged.

Police Chief Superintendent Simon Crick called the killing “completely devastating.” No arrests have been made yet, and cordons remain in place around the scene.

Knife Crime Surge and Local Fear

The murder marks the second killing of a 16-year-old in Walthamstow in five years. In 2018, Amaan Shakoor was shot dead near the same school. His family still offers a £50,000 reward for information leading to the killer.

Local business owners say gang violence has worsened in the area, adding to a growing knife crime crisis across England. Official stats reveal a 9% rise in knife offences in the year ending March 2022, with incidents up 34% since 2010.

Police continue hunting the attackers as the community mourns another tragic loss.
