Cyclist Punched in Shocking Tonbridge Assault – Police Seek Suspect
A violent attack on a young cyclist has left the Tonbridge community on edge. On 27 May 2020, a man in his 20s was cycling along 1 Road near Shipbourne Road when a stranger suddenly stepped into his path and launched an unprovoked punch. The cyclist was hit in the face and needed hospital treatment for his injuries.

The attacker didn’t stick around. After striking the cyclist, he bolted down towards High Street, disappearing into the crowd. Now police have released a CCTV image of the suspect and are desperate for help to track him down.
Police Plea: Know This Man? Speak Up!
“This unprovoked assault by a man the victim had never met before has caused serious injuries,” said investigating officer Police Constable Thomas Wild. “We are releasing an image of a person who may be able to assist us with our enquiries and urge anyone who recognises him to get in touch.”
