North London man, 35, held over terror group links

A 35-year-old man was arrested early Wednesday morning in North London on suspicion of belonging to a banned extremist group.

Police swoop and searches

Officers raided an address and detained the suspect under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE). He was taken to a London police station for questioning.

Bailed but investigation ongoing

The man was released on bail, with a return date set for mid-December. The arrest is connected to alleged membership of a far-right organisation, which is currently banned under Section 11 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

Police investigations into the matter are still ongoing.
