A 26-year-old man and a two-year-old child were struck by a train at Garrowhill station in Glasgow on Sunday night, sparking a huge emergency response. Authorities rushed to the scene after reports of casualties on the tracks.

Child’s Injuries Minor, Man in Hospital Under Arrest

Both victims were rushed to hospital. The child’s injuries are now believed to be minor, while the man remains in a stable, non-life-threatening condition. On Monday evening, the man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He is currently under police watch in hospital.

Detective Chief Inspector Marc Francey reassured the public this was an isolated case. “We are not looking for anyone else in connection with this,” he said. Specially trained officers are providing support to the child’s family, with hopes for the boy’s full recovery.
