Tragedy on A345: Elderly Pedestrian Fatally Hit by Car
Crash on Countess Road
Last night around 7.30pm, a Vauxhall Astra heading south on the A345 Countess Road towards the Countess roundabout struck a pedestrian.
Elderly Man Succumbs to Injuries
The victim, a local man in his 80s, was rushed to Southampton Hospital with multiple injuries. Sadly, he died a few hours later. His family have been informed, and our thoughts are with them during this heartbreaking time.
Police Seek Witnesses and Dash Cam Footage
Authorities are urgently appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash cam footage to come forward.
