The drama kicked off just after 4am when a Jaguar was spotted tearing erratically along the A127 towards junction 23 before screeching onto the M25.
Teaming up with the Metropolitan Police, officers tailed the rogue vehicle as it dodged attempts to stop it.
The chase heated up as the Jaguar sped off the M25 at brentwood" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Brentwood">Brentwood and raced into the town.

When it was safe to do so, officers brought the flailing Jaguar to a halt — but not before it lost its front driver-side tyre and completely detached its front passenger wheel.
Man Arrested After High-Speed Chase
A 45-year-old man from Romford was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop, vehicle theft, dangerous driving, and failing to provide a breath sample. He remains in custody.

Detective Superintendent Gary Biddle said: “The overriding concern throughout this incident was the safety of the public – and indeed those inside the vehicle. “Officers showed both tenacity and bravery throughout and I would also like to thank the Metropolitan Police Service for their assistance as the vehicle entered the M25. “It was only through working really closely with them during what was a really dynamic situation that we were able to bring the incident to a safe conclusion. “Thankfully, this incident ended without serious injury – but it could very easily have been different were it not for the actions of our officers.”
