Woman Found Stabbed to Death in Croydon Home
Police were called to a Croydon house on Ash Tree Way at 4.10pm on Sunday, 29 October, after reports of a woman found dead.
19-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead at Scene
Officers and paramedics arrived to find a 19-year-old woman suffering stab wounds. Tragically, she was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem is planned to determine the exact cause of death.
Neighbour Describes Bloodied Scene
A neighbour, who wished to remain anonymous, said a man was pulled out of the property covered in blood.
Suspected Murder, Man in Custody
The victim, believed to be an Indian national recently arrived in the UK, was known to the suspect. Police are tracing and informing her family.
A 23-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. He has been taken to hospital with a minor head injury.
At this stage, no one else is being sought in connection with the murder.
