Police Probe After Boy Found Dead in Copcut

Police were called to a home on Vashon Drive, Copcut, Droitwich following the unexplained death of a young boy. Officers say enquiries are ongoing to establish exactly what happened. The boy’s next of kin has been informed.

Clear: No Stabbing Involved

Detective Inspector Ed Slough said, “This is a tragic incident. Our thoughts are with the boy’s family and friends during this awful time.”

He added, “There have been media and social media rumours about a stabbing. We want to be clear: no stab wounds were found on the boy.”

“The death of a child this young hits his family and friends hard,” said DI Slough. “We are providing support with specially trained officers. Anyone affected is urged to seek help from specialist charities such as Child Bereavement UK.”

Two Arrested in Connection

A 33-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of child neglect. A 39-year-old man faces suspicion of murder as the investigation continues.
