Detective Inspector Iain Wallace, who led the raids, said:

“We know that drug supply fuels much of the violence in Newham. That’s why operations like this are crucial to catching those responsible. This long-term investigation was sparked by local community concerns about drug dealing and violent crime in Stratford Park. We won’t tolerate the misery criminals bring to residents here.”

“These arrests send a clear message: we are determined to drive down violence, drug trafficking, and anti-social behaviour. The community can be reassured we’re committed to working with them to make their neighbourhoods safer.”

The crackdown involved officers from Newham and Waltham Forest police, plus the Territorial Support Group (TSG), showing a united front against crime in East London.
