Gedling’s Operation Reacher Cracks Down on Drug Supply
Officers from the Gedling Operation Reacher team, backed by Gedling Neighbourhood Policing, forced entry into the Coningswath Road property after intel flagged drug activity inside.
Inside, they found large quantities of dried cannabis, bundles of cash, weighing scales, and multiple mobile phones – classic signs of drug dealing.
Deadly Weapons Confiscated Including Swords and Nunchucks
The haul didn’t stop there. Cops also seized an alarming collection of weapons: two swords, a machete, a lock knife, and a set of nunchucks.
Sergeant James Carrington of Nottinghamshire Police said: “We’re committed to cracking down on drug supply. This type of crime often goes hand-in-hand with other serious offences, which we won’t tolerate in our communities.”
“Thanks to intelligence, we swooped on this address and removed both drugs and dangerous weapons from our streets.”
“We urge anyone with info on local crime to call 101 or reach out anonymously at Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
The police investigation is ongoing. Anyone with details related to the raid should quote incident 78 of 28 February 2023 when reporting.
