Kent Police sprang into action shortly before 6.30am on Wednesday 7 July 2021 after a house in East Cliff was burgled overnight. Thieves made off with computers, cash, and bank cards.

Fraud Alert: Stolen Cards Used Illegally

Worse still, the stolen bank cards were swiftly used fraudulently, sparking a wider investigation into the crimes.

Dover Man Nabbed in Early Morning Sting

Just before 9am, officers arrested a 24-year-old man from Dover linked to the East Cliff burglary. The arrest didn’t stop there.

The same suspect was also held over a second break-in in East Cliff on the very same night. This time, cash and a power tool were taken.

Investigation Ongoing as Suspect Stays in Custody

The 24-year-old remains in police custody while detectives dig deeper into the two burglaries. Kent Police vow to crack down on local crime and keep residents safe.
