Midnight Burglary Foiled by Police and Dog Elsa in Kent

Kent Police rushed to a business break-in on Beaver Lane just after midnight on Tuesday, 13 December 2022. The Ashford Local Policing Team teamed up with police dog Elsa to tackle the suspect.

Doors Forced, Suspect Snared Nearby

Officers discovered a damaged door at the premises. Thanks to Elsa’s sharp nose, a 29-year-old man from south London was tracked down and arrested close by on suspicion of burglary.

Investigation Ongoing, Suspect in Custody

The accused remains held as police continue their enquiries into the attempted break-in. Dog handler Elsa’s quick work helped prevent a potential crime in Kent’s Ashford area.
