Speed Crackdown Hits Canterbury Roads
Canterbury’s top cops launched a major safety blitz last week, targeting notorious trouble spots on the A2990 and A28. The Community Safety Unit teamed up with the Roads Policing Unit’s Road Safety Team for a no-nonsense week of speed and safety checks.
Drug Driver Caught on A28
Tensions soared on Tuesday 16 March when a 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drug driving on the A28 in Canterbury. He has since been released under investigation as officers continue their inquiries.

Sergeant Warns: Drive Safe or Pay The Price
“Motorists who drive at speed, use a phone at the wheel, or drive uninsured or in defective vehicles put themselves and others at serious risk,” said Sergeant Colette Todd of Canterbury Community Safety Unit. “We’re glad most drivers stick to the rules, but we won’t hesitate to act against those who don’t.”
