Man Shot in Lozells: Police Hunt Gunmen After Late-Night Attack
A 30-year-old man was shot in the arm on Roland Road, Lozells, just before 11.20pm on Saturday. He was rushed to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Targeted Attack Sparks Police Hunt
Detective Sergeant Steven Harris from Force CID said, “We believe the incident was targeted and we’re doing all we can to find the people responsible. Firearms have no place on our streets.”
Witnesses Urged to Come Forward
“Our priority is to find out exactly what happened and arrest those involved,” added DS Harris. “Today we’ll be speaking to witnesses, reviewing CCTV footage, and following up leads.”
Police are asking anyone who saw the shooting or has information to get in touch immediately. Extra officers will patrol the area in the coming days to offer support and gather intel.
