Teen Left Fighting for Life After Car vs Pit Bike Crash in Bognor
Police are hunting witnesses to a nasty smash between a car and a pit motorbike at the busy junction of Chichester Road and Hawthorn Road, Bognor.
Alfa Romeo Collides with Honda Pit Bike
The crash took place at 6.50pm on Friday, 14 October. An Alfa Romeo Giulietta heading west along Chichester Road smashed into a Honda pit motorbike.
Motorcyclist Hospitalised, Driver Arrested
The motorbike rider, an 18-year-old man, suffered life-threatening injuries. He remains in hospital receiving treatment.
The driver, a 44-year-old man from Chichester, was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs. He has since been released under investigation as inquiries continue.
Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
The road was shut for hours as officers recovered vehicles and carried out investigations.
Sergeant Mark Farrow said: “We are appealing for witnesses to this serious collision and would like to hear from anyone who saw the collision or the vehicles involved prior to the collision. We would also like to receive any dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident.”
