Murder Probe Launched After Man Dies from Richmond Stabbing
A murder investigation is underway after a 39-year-old man died in hospital following a stabbing in Richmond. Police were called just before 4pm on Monday, 17 May, after reports of a stabbing near Kings Road.
Officers found the victim, Tim Hipperson, receiving treatment from paramedics at the scene. He was rushed to hospital but sadly died early on Thursday, 20 May. Tim’s family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
No Suspects Yet as Police Appeal for Witnesses
Police searched the area but found no suspects. While Tim was located on Kings Road, investigators believe the stabbing may have occurred nearby in Peldon Passage.
Acting Detective Chief Inspector Maria Green of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command said:
“This is a tragic development in this case and my thoughts are with Tim’s family and friends at this incredibly sad time. I want to appeal to the local community for help in finding the person or people responsible for Tim’s death.”
She urged anyone with doorbell or dashcam footage to come forward. “If you witnessed the incident or saw anything suspicious, please get in touch as soon as possible.”
