Moorlands Burglars Steal Quad Bike and Motorbikes in Two-Day Spree

Police in the Moorlands are on high alert after two brazen burglaries hit local properties in just 48 hours. Residents are being urged to lock up sheds and outbuildings tight as thieves target valuable bikes.

Quad Bike Snatched in Alton

The trouble started around 8am on Thursday, 20 May, when officers were called to a property on Cheadle Road, Alton. Overnight, burglars broke into a padlocked outbuilding and stole a Honda 4-track quad bike.

Orange Motorbike and Mountain Bike Stolen in Caverswall

Just one day later at 7am on Friday, 21 May, police were alerted to another theft at a home in Caverswall. A 525 orange motorbike and a black Giant mountain bike vanished from a garage.

CCTV captured two men in dark clothing riding an off-road bike near the Auctioneers Arms pub. They were seen leaving and then returning with the stolen orange motorbike before heading off towards Weston Coyney.
